Country Keepsakes started by sharing a small space in a family run grocery store. I, Beverly Bruce made floral arrangements and folk art crafts. It was after the closing of my families’ grocery store that I decided to pursue my dream of doing what I loved and being my own boss.
Country Keepsakes Tea Room is our family’s heart and home. A restaurant where friends, families, and colleagues come together. Starting as a home décor storefront in 1986, we have since transformed into “The Tea Room”. In 1990 our family converted a small closet into a kitchen where my love of food and crafts merged. Country Keepsakes Tea Room, a restaurant offering home cooked entrees and desserts, was born. We also offer private seating for showers, birthday parties, business meetings, and holiday events. Our main goal for our business is to satisfy our customers serving homemade fresh cooked food in a relaxing atmosphere.
Our customers lunch here, form friendships, and just unwind. They ask not only about the menu, but “How’s Grandpa today,” or “The garden looks beautiful!” Our walls are adorned with pictures of the family and friends. We have memorabilia provided by customers in remembrance of their time spent here. As our customers have been invited into our family we have been welcomed to many of theirs. We take pride in caring for our customers as if they are in our home. After all, we have spent most of our lives here. Our business is personal. I am the mother of Stacy, Molly, and Mark. My mother and father are my cashiers. What started as my dream to be my own boss has grown into a family owned and operated business.
